Stream Video From Your Blackberry
Have you ever wished you could just turn on your Blackberry Video camera and it would automatically stream to an internet site? That by a click of a button on your Blackberry you could decide if you wanted the world to be able to see it or perhaps only people with a password or even make it so only you can see it latter?
With QIK.COM streaming service all the above is reality. Best of all it is free! To try it out for yourself by going to QIK.COM and signing up for an account (it takes less than 2 minutes). Then download their program to your Blackberry. To use the service it is as easy as clicking on the Qik.com app button on your Blackberry. When it opens, choose private or public and click on publish. Your Video camera starts up by itself and streams the video live to the QIK website and after you are done sending the stream it is saved to video. You can sign into your control panel to set up a group, delete or change viewing permissions for your videos.
Having just downloaded and used this app for the last two days I have concluded it is in between YouTube and twitter. I guess you would call it a video twitter. I saw rockets being launched in Australia and a wedding in India along with front row video of u2.
This is a great app and doesn’t take up much room on your phone. The only drawback other than some of the videos being a bit choppy (they are streamed from phones after all) is that I can see is that it could become addicting.
