I Purchased a new Curve 8900 last Friday to use for making themes as the simulator never catches all the little mistakes before poasting. I had to take it back though because of a trackball problem with it. I will be writing a blog on what I think of the 8900 and if it is worth the upgrade from the  4.5 os curves. It is silly looking enough to start a conversation when you check the time or make a call. You then mention it comes with a funny little story and click the link to the story and share it with him.  This theme is 99.9% effective when used correctly. We will triple your money back if it doesn’t work!     The Club Girl Story When making this theme we wanted to have several elements. First we needed to have sex appeal.  We thought about what we could do to get this type of feel. We talked for days how to put sex appeal and the other attributes we want to include in this theme.     It was late on a Monday night that I got an email that said it would change my life for only $19.99. After reading the email about how they had picked only me for this special offer because they knew they could trust me having read a Craig’s list posting I had made. After paying the $19.99, I received a program that would infuse attributes from famous people into Blackberry themes through their pictures. After testing this program by making a Paul Rubin theme and feeling the need to go see a movie while wearing no underwear I was sure it really did work. Now that we knew it worked we took a picture of Sandra Bullock and one of Angelie Jolie for our sex appeal. These two are sexy in two different ways and should cover the sexy attribute well. We then had to add that attribute that makes most guys take a second look, slutty. We both thought this would be easy as Paris Hilton came to our minds instantly as synonymous with slutty.  The trouble started when we ran her picture through our newly purchased program. As soon as we entered the path to her picture all the programs antivirus alerts went off and a warning that there was not enough RAM installed for her picture appeared. We then ran to the local radio shack sand purchased more RAM for Paris Hilton. Our Paris Hilton Virus under control and a potent power for slutty to our theme we now needed the attribute Easy. Although we felt sure Paris Hilton would also cross over and cover easy, we wanted to make sure our club girl theme would let the guy you want know you can be easy for the right guy. To accomplish this we put a picture of Pamela Anderson into our program. Soon as we did this a warning came up that this picture requires a huge hard drive. We now had the main ingredients to make for a great Friday night at the Bar or Club. In fact, this theme works so well you must use caution in using it as after you activate it on a guy he will get the idea you are looking for at least a night of hot heavy ummmm dancing, and at most a relationship. To use this theme is easy. Just let him see it and hope he asks about it or show it to him as it is a good conversation piece. The folks over at Coveroo.com have come up with a way to put a permanent picture or letters on a battery cover using a laser. They also do colored pictures using another process.  Robbin ordered her Coveroo of Peanut from their Jeff Dunham collection with the black Blackberry curve cover but she received an email saying they were out of the black curve covers and it would be a week before it would ship out. The email was personal, not a bot mail and contained a number for Lori at Coveroo.  After calling Lori, Robbin changed her order to a peace sign with her name under it on a grey cover which shipped to her in two days. We were both surprised at the ease it was to both order and change an order. When the package came it was in a bubble mailer inside of another bubble mailer and packaged nicely to protect it. This too was a surprise as they only charge $1 shipping and handling for up to five covers. After unpacking it was just as they had shown it on their website. Both Robbin and I agree that Coveroo’s are a great way to personalize your phone and apparently we aren’t alone as stars like Brooke SHeilds, Ben Folds Five, The Decemberists, Mix Master Mike and Danny D,  are loving their Coveroo’s too.   Add new comment All fields are required. We have optimized this theme to bring those who have it on their Blackberry the most luck any one person is capable of receiving. We went to unbelievable extremes to accomplish this.  This is the story of how this theme came to be the luckiest Blackberry Theme in the world as we know it. We started off by hanging rabbit feet and four leaf clovers all over the PC that was used to design it. We then took it to a fortune teller downtown Brooklyn and paid her to read it. She informed us it would bring the user good luck, but not the best of luck. We were crushed at hearing this and knew we had to do more.  We then went to the local Catholic Church and after making a sizable donation our theme was blessed by the priest.  Knowing this would not be enough to secure the amount of luck we desired we then flew to New Orleans and went to the local VOODOO shop. A rather strange looking woman with only half her teeth and wicked tattoos informed us that she could help by incantations from the book of living souls but we would have to do more because the spirits had told of a Blackberry theme that would overpower all bad luck, even the bad luck of having had George Bush around for eight years. Our next step was to go to Africa and visit a witch doctor we had been told was familiar with the legend of the lucky Blackberry and its true destiny. Although we knew what our next step was we had depleted our funds and had no way to get to Africa. We were devastated! Then Robbin came up with an idea and if she was right, we would have the cash we needed to fulfill the destiny of the Blackberry theme we had created. We loaded the theme on both our BlackBerry phones and went to Vegas. It only took us a few minutes to realize she was right; the theme already had enough luck to overpower the evil spirits of the slot machines. When our plane landed in Africa we were approached by a one armed man with a glass eye and a brown package in his hand. He just wanted to know what time it was. We then went to the witch doctor. He had on an Armani suit and was drinking a glass of wine while he watched reruns of Cop Rock and Golden Girls. I knew then that he must indeed have strong powers to endure the torture of such programming. As soon as I pulled out my Blackberry with the theme of luck that had brought me to this place so far from home he started shaking. His eyes went from my Blackberry to meet my gaze then a crooked smile came across his lips. I awaited his words; words that I knew would be profound. He told me my zipper was down.  After pulling up my zipper I asked what I had to do to make the luck theme what it was meant to be. After pentagrams and many rituals I can’t go into for fear of being prosecuted we were told we had one more step to complete and our theme would be the strongest power for good and good luck on earth. Next thing I remember was being on a flight to Rome. You see the witch doctor had told us we must get potent DNA from the Pope!  What happened next involved me dressing up as a choir boy with man- boobs and a lisp. This is all I will say about it other than it has scarred me for life.    So now you know the extent we went to bring you this Ghost Wear BlackBerry theme of luck. Or it could be they were true.  If they are true and he was the monster some say he was (and have no doubt a child molester is a monster) I can’t help but think the world helped in making that monster.  The world that overlooked the way child stars were treated and how they grew up in that era.  A world where we make fun of those who are different, a world that loved him for his talent and scorned him for trying to change into the person he felt would fit in.     Now that MICHAEL JACKSON has passed, his guilt or innocence is no longer a matter for the world to judge. I think we can safely leave that in God’s hands. The same God who gave him the talent and style that made the world crown him the king of pop.  I myself am not a fan of pop music and probably never will be, but when I saw MICHAEL JACKSON on TV or heard him on the radio I knew I was hearing a great performer. Neither I nor the world will ever know what kind of man Michael Jackson was, but there is one thing I know. When Michael sang to the world, THE WORLD DANCED!   May he find the peace in death he never found in life. We all know the reasons they give. First on the list, kids will cheat on tests. I can't help but think it might be a little easier to spot someone texting or taking a picture compared to looking at the smart kids paper that is sitting next to you, having a cheat sheet or any number of ways that kids that are going to cheat have cheated since the conception of tests in school. To say a cell phone is some new and unstopable secret weapon in the arsenal of school children that will make them cheat on tests is not really an argument at all. The next big argument against cell phones in school is that they are disruptive. I would say, so is drawing in class or reading comic books or perhaps chewing gum. All the above you are allowed to have in most schools, you just aren't allowed to use them when it is not appropriate. I have nothing against schools saying students must have their cell phones powered off and out of sight. This only makes sense or else it could be disruptive. To say teachers can't or shouldn't have to deal with making sure they don't use them is a just silly! Teachers make sure kids don't break rules and act appropriate in class every day, in fact this is a big part of their job. I know this because every year I get a huge list of rules my child is expected to adhere to. Nowadays the children have to sign a paper that has that particular teachers rules on it. So lets be realistic how hard is it to say you can bring a phone to school but keep it out of sight and powered off or it will be taken away. Now that we have looked at the two big reasons that are given to keep cell phones out of school lets look at a few reasons children should be able to bring their cell phones to school. The first reason all the news outlets give is that what if there is another Columbine situation. Ok, I agree if that was to happen cell phones in the chilldren's hands could be useful. Lets look at the odds of that though. You are more likely to get hit by lightning. The real reasons parents want their kids to have a phone are many and valid. In this day and age often as not there is a home with both parents working or just one parent. They want to know if their child is on the bus or train. They want to know if they miss a connection and get lost they can call. They want to know that when their child is walking through a bad area they can call if there is a problem. They want to be able to remind their 13 year old he or she is going to dads today because mom has to work late and don't forget to take your medicine. As family life has changed, and it has with both moms and dads working somtimes two jobs and often times in two households cell phones may be the only way to keep communication flowing. To keep children from taking cell phones to school can be a huge burden and can cause unnecessary stress and hardship to a family. Now lets look at the real reason people such as Mayor Bloomberg don't want cell phones in school. One word says it all "YouTube". Now that every other 13 year old has posted videos on YouTube we are seeing both embarrassing and actionable if not illegal videos of teachers and bus drivers. Not only does this look bad to the school system it is a lawsuit in drag. Look at all the police videos popping up. One off the top of my head had a police officer arresting a man he said attacked him when the video that was taken showed the man on the bike did nothing to provoke the police officer attacking him. If it was not for that video, I dare say the man on the bike would still be in jail. Well, the same thing is happening with school phone videos. Just type in crazy bus driver or crazy teacher and see what videos pop up. Trying to hide our school problems and protect ourselves against law suits is not a reason to make parents worry if their children are making it home ok or if they made it to their after school job or activity safely. It is not a good enough reason for 11 year old Little Jimmy who misses his subway stop and ends up in NYC lost and without help because he doesn't have a phone. Making matters worse Little Jimmy can't find a payphone because there aren't that many around anymore and half the ones that are don't work. So lets be honest, this is about the city protecting itself from bad publicity and law suits by wrapping the issue up in the stereotype of public school children cheating on tests and running a drug syndicate at the corner of the hallway as the meek and scared teachers run from class to class in hopes of not being bullied by the cellphone toting thugs we call american youth. W also have put up a Forum for our users to post there own themes. I am happy to say our site traffic has been going up every week. We have now had over 3000 theme downloads.    We would like to thank LAblackberry.com for including us on there list of top 20 websites for blackberrys.    We are now having a theme design contest. Frm now till AUG 1 2009 our forum users will be able to rate themes from 1 to for stars. 1 being good   and 4 being great. I am glad people are downloading my themes. I have decided not to make the files so only members can download them but would love it if you would sign up as a member.    Our goal is to have 1000 downloads and 10,000 page hits a week. As we grow and add files and use more bandwith Our costs will shoot up so please take a look at our google links as that is how we hope to keep this site up.     We are working on more themes this week including a BMW theme and a Simple Black theme. I hope you all had a great Mothers Day I know I did. LOL my lazy son sent me a Mothers day card from my own site.      I finished a couple more themes including a theme of my wallpaper cupids fire and will be posting it tonight. Steve was able to add Google Friend aps into our site so now people can interact, leave feedback, share ideas and take polls by singing in with their   AIM, Google or Yahoo accounts or make a new account on my site.    We are trying to make this site a place people can come to not only to get themes and wallpaper for blackberrys but to interact with other blackberry users. A site where you can post a question about anything to do with blackberrys and get answers by us or other users. In order to reach this goal we need lots and lots of users. I had a long week and think a good reward is an all day shopping trip. Well I think an all day shopping trip is a good idea for just about any reason.  I finally posted Love Bear theme and you can see it or download it through OTA on my site. Both my husband Steve and myself love sci-fi and he has made a couple Dr Who wallpapers for the Curve. He is now working on a Dr Who theme.   I am hoping we start to get more feedback and requests so we know what kinds of themes people are wanting. I know there are thousands of themes out there so I would love to find what isnt and fill that nich. Please let us know what you think. Well I finished the Love Bear theme but didnt get a chance to post it yet as we have been working hard to add a feature that lets users send a personalized Ecard using my wallpaper art and other card art as we make it. We decided to make it as simple to use  as we could so my husband used a program called 4images on our server. The end result is that you pick a theme and type in who its from the name of  the person it is going to (mom). Cick the color you want the text, background and border to be and type in your message along with the email to send it to. You then are shown a preview of your card and if you like it you click send. LoL  I still don't have many people using my site but if I ever do it is a cool feature. Check it out Ecards. I will be adding more cards over the next month so stop back and check it out. I am working on a theme for the wallpaper "Love Bear" and it should be done and posted tomorrow. I have also been working on search engine submission and trying to submit to Craigs List and the likes. I can see it isn't going to be easy to get traffic.
